Pet Services Agreement

These agreements cover the vaccination requirements, policies, and liability terms for every pet under our care at Planet Pooch Pet Resort Inc.

Pet Vaccination Agreement

Planet Pooch requires all pets to maintain current vaccinations prior to facility admission.

Pet owners are responsible for providing ongoing proof of vaccinations via email, mail, or in-person delivery.

  • Distemper-Parvo (DAPP/DHPP or DA2PP)
  • Bordetella — every 6 months for pets under 1 year; annually for pets over 1 year
  • Rabies
  • Flu (highly recommended)

Vaccine Details

The Distemper-Parvo vaccine protects against multiple diseases. After the initial series, periodic boosters are needed as determined by a veterinarian. Ideally, boosters should be administered at least 2 weeks before boarding.

Rabies vaccination is mandated by state law and required every 1 to 3 years.

Bordetella must be given at least 1 week before boarding and requires annual administration at minimum. A 7-day waiting period is enforced for recently vaccinated pets to allow maximum immunity development.

Admission

All pets must be in good general health. We reserve the right to deny admittance to any pets lacking proof of vaccinations, displaying signs of untreated or potentially contagious conditions, or showing aggressive behavior.

Prior to social activities, dogs must undergo temperament testing and approval. Social privileges may be revoked if behavior becomes aggressive or dominant. Females in heat may not participate in group play depending on cycle severity. Planet Pooch reserves the right to charge daily handling fees for illness or difficult / aggressive pets.

Vaccinations Required

All dogs must be current on DAPP/DHPP (or DA2PP), Rabies, and yearly Bordetella. A 7-day waiting period applies for recently vaccinated pets.

We do not reimburse pet owners for any expenses related to canine cough or kennel cough, as the vaccine does not offer 100% protection.

Medications

All medications must be supplied in original containers, clearly labeled with the pet's name, medication name, dosage, and reason. A $4 fee applies for medication administration. Additional fees may apply for difficult administration or special medications.

Belongings

The Resort will make every effort to return items left with each pet, however these items may not be returned if lost or may be returned in poor condition. The resort is not responsible for said items. Glass and ceramic items are prohibited.

Visiting

Visiting is at Planet Pooch's discretion only. Visiting with your pet while it is in our care may cause anxiety and confusion. Owners may visit during scheduled times only. Planet Pooch reserves the right to limit visiting duration and areas.

Emergencies

In case of an emergency, we will attempt to contact you first and then your listed emergency contact. We will use A & A Veterinary Hospital or any 24-hour veterinary emergency hospital at our sole discretion.

Owners may provide a signed note detailing wishes regarding veterinary care; otherwise, Planet Pooch will take all necessary steps to preserve the pet's life. The owner assumes full financial responsibility for all veterinary costs and transportation fees.

Rooms / Runs

Rooms may be reserved up to 6 months in advance. Only pets from the same household can share rooms. We reserve the right to limit the number of pets staying together. Variables may occasionally require moving a pet to a different room.

Check-In, Check-Out, and Fees

Fees are set daily per service. Boarding rates are charged nightly with checkout at 11am Monday through Saturday. Daily daycare rates apply to boarders staying past 11am.

We understand flights get delayed and weather restrictions happen. Please let us know 24 hours in advance, or as soon as possible, if the reservation time (not date) for pickup or drop-off cannot be kept.

After-hours early or late check-in or checkout may be arranged in advance for an extra fee at Planet Pooch's sole discretion. Extended stays cannot guarantee the original room will be available.

Staffing Hours

Monday through Saturday, 7:30am to 7:00pm, with a closed period from 12:30pm to 1:30pm daily.

Holidays

The facility is closed to the public on Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. Limited hours apply on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. Holiday periods are defined as 7 days before and after each holiday. The facility remains fully staffed but with limited lobby hours.

Cancellation Policy

Notification of a cancellation, change of room type, or change of dates booked must be provided 7 days prior to boarding check-in date during holidays and 2 days prior to check-in date during all other times.

A 50% cancellation fee applies for cancellations within the required timeframe; same-day cancellations incur a 100% fee.

Rates and Services

All rates and services are subject to availability and change at any time. Estimates can be requested. Payment is due at checkout, and we do not offer payment plans. We accept cash, Apple Pay, credit card, and debit card. We do not accept checks.

Indemnification and Release of Liability

The owner understands and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Planet Pooch, its parent company Planet Pooch Pet Resort Inc., its owners, and its staff for any and all loss, liability, claims, expenses, demands, causes of action, suits, rights, and entitlements of any kind — including without limitation legal costs and attorney fees.

Planet Pooch owners and staff will not be liable for any known or unknown problems, pregnancy, suspected or unsuspected illness, or death that develops, or for not seeking veterinary care, provided reasonable care and precautions are followed. The owner hereby releases Planet Pooch from any liability of any kind whatsoever arising from their pet's stay at Planet Pooch.

Daycare Risk Acknowledgment

Owner understands that dog daycare is social play with other dogs from different households. Dogs in groups are at higher risk of incidents. While play is supervised, dogs may become sore, dirty, hurt, sick, scratched, bit, and even — rarely — die. Dogs may be put in time-out runs during the day for rest periods. The owner fully accepts and understands these risks.

Right to Refuse Admission

Planet Pooch has the right to refuse or revoke admittance to any dog that displays an illness or behavior deemed inappropriate or that does not meet the health requirements set forth in this agreement.

Media and Photography Rights

Photos, video, or other media may be taken of owners and their pets while in our resort, and may be used in publication. All media taken of pets and / or owners by the resort or its agents are property of the resort. The owner will not be paid any royalty or other compensation and hereby relinquishes any and all rights to any media published in any form or medium.

Veterinary Provider

Planet Pooch will use A & A Veterinary Hospital for your pet's care during their operating hours. If A & A is closed, we reserve the right to seek care from an emergency veterinarian at our discretion.

Authority to Care

By signing in, the owner certifies that they are the owner (or duly authorized agent for the owner) of the animals described, and grants Planet Pooch, its agents, and / or representatives full and complete authority to board and care for the animals as needed.

Veterinary Records

The owner gives Planet Pooch permission to request veterinary records and vaccine history from the veterinary hospital listed above if needed. Planet Pooch does not guarantee the use of the owner's veterinarian for the pet's care while in our facility.
