Training at Our Pet Resort — Fun, Learning, and Bonding for Your Pup
April 22, 2024
Training isn't about making your dog mechanical — it's about giving you both a shared language. At our Franklin Square resort, training is structured, positive, and built around real life. With an AKC Evaluator on staff and six-week programs, your dog learns skills that stick, and you learn how to keep them sharp at home.
What our programs cover
- Loose-leash walking and reliable recall
- Sit, down, stay, and other foundation cues
- Polite greetings — no more jumping on guests
- Calm settling skills for home and public places
- Real-world distractions worked in gradually
Why six weeks
Lasting change takes more than a weekend workshop. Six weeks gives us time to introduce, practice, generalize, and proof — so the skills actually transfer to your house, your walks, and your routine.
Fun is part of the plan
Training works better when it's enjoyable. Our sessions weave play, treats, and breaks into the structure so dogs stay engaged. A dog who likes their training time learns faster — full stop.
Stronger bond, easier life
Most families tell us the biggest win isn't a specific cue — it's the way training changes the relationship. Clearer communication, fewer power struggles, more trust. That's worth the six weeks.
